The Senate of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Ogun State, at its meeting of Monday, December 4th, 2023, approved academic calendar for the 2023/2024 Academic Session. This was disclosed in a circular released by the Acting Registrar, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Dawodu. According to the Ag. Registrar, registration, medical screenings, information and communication technology training and orientation for fresh studecnts started from Tuesday, December 5th, while registration for returning students commenced from Monday, December 11th, 2023.
The circular further indicated that first semester lectures for returning and fresh students would begin from Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024 and end on Friday, March 22nd 2024, to be followed by first semester examinations on Monday, April 1st, 2024, and it would end by Friday, April 19th, 2024. Second semester lectures would start by Monday, April 29th, 2024 and end on Friday, July 12th, 2024 to be followed immediately by second semester examinations, which would start on Monday, July 22nd, 2024 and end by Friday, August 2nd, 2024.
Meanwhile, there would be a special Senate meeting to consider first semester examination results on Thursday, May 30th, 2024. Also, the University convocation ceremony is scheduled to hold on Friday, January 26th and Saturday, January 27, 2024 while the 84th and 85th inaugural lectures of the University have been fixed for Wednesday, January 17th, 2024, and Wednesday, February 7th, 2024, among others.
